2007 Under Armour All-Americans Announced

After months of nominations and deliberations, the experts over at Inside Lacrosse finally selected this year's class of Under Armour All-Americans. To see the complete team go here.

Notes about this year's class:
  • This year’s crop of All-Americans features 90 players from 13 states, from as far away as California and Colorado to as close as Maryland and Virginia.
      New York had the most players selected with 25, while Maryland was second on the list with 24.


  • The University of Virginia had 12 commitments chosen for the event (nine boys and three girls) with Duke having 11 signees (five boys and six girls).

  • Rhamel and Shamel Bratton (Huntington H.S.[NY]) become the second set of twins to be selected as UA All-Americans joining 2006 honorees John and Charley Dickenson (Highland Park H.S. [TX]).

  • The Brattons along with Christie Kaestner become the third and fourth sets of siblings to be chosen as UA All-Americans. Christie’s sister Ashby, a freshman at Georgetown, played last year as well as Jeremy and Jerome Thompson from Nedrow, N.Y. and the afore mentioned Dickenson twins.

  • Huntington H.S. in New York led the way on the boys’ side with four players selected, while St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes’ School in Virginia had four girls chosen.

  • The following high schools have had at least one athlete selected in the first two years of the event: Boys’ Latin (MD), Christian Brothers Academy (NY), Georgetown Prep (MD), The Haverford School (PA), Huntington H.S. (NY), Kent Denver School (CO), Lafayette H.S. (NY), Lawrenceville H.S. (NJ), Loyola Academy (IL), Loyola-Blakefield (MD), Maryvale Prep (MD), McDonogh School (MD), Mt. Hebron H.S. (MD), Mooretown H.S. (NJ), St. Paul’s School (MD), St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School (VA), Saints Peter and Paul (MD), Severn School (MD), Shawnee H.S. (NJ), Ward Melville H.S. (NY), West Genesee H.S. (NY), West Islip H.S. (NY).

  • The following colleges have at least one commitment selected to play in the game in both 2006 and 2007: Boston College (women), Boston U. (women), Brown (men), Dartmouth (women), Duke (men and women), Georgetown (men and women), Hofstra (women), Johns Hopkins (men and women), Maryland (men and women), North Carolina (men and women), Northwestern (women), Notre Dame (men and women), Penn State (men and women), Princeton (men)Syracuse (men), Vanderbilt (women), Virginia (men and women).

  • Five high schools had players chosen to both the boys’ and girls’ teams: Huntington (Kailene Abt, Sean Brady, Rhamel Bratton, Shamel Bratton and Zach Howell), McDonogh (Kirstyn Atkinson, Andrew Feinberg and Carolina Spearman), Upper Arlington (Molly Everett and Max Schmidt), St.Stephens’ & St. Agnes (Katherine Denkler, Liz Downs, Mia Hurrin, Lauren Thomas and Mark White) and West Genesee (Colleen Bubnack, John Galloway and Sarah Kounen)
