NCAA Quarterfinals Wrap Up
Men
Michael Kimmel scored twice and Michael Gvozden came on in relief to make one save as Hopkins advanced to the Final Four with a 14-6 win over Georgetown. Andrew Brancaccio had a goal for the Hoyas in the loss.
Max Quinzani had three goals and an assist to help lead Duke to a 19-11 victory over local rival North Carolina in the final NCAA Quarterfinal of the weekend. Sean Burke tallied two goals and Mike Burns had one for the Tar Heels.
Women
Halley Quillinan had three goals, but it was not enough as Syracuse fell to #1 seed Northwestern, 14-9.
Ali DeLuca scored Pennsylvania's ninth and final goal in its comeback win over Maryland and setting up a rematch with Northwestern, which beat the Quakers earlier this year.
Kaitlin Duff had a goal and an assist and Brittany Kalkstein added a goal as Virginia advanced to Philadelphia by defeating North Carolina, 14-8. Jenn Russell had two goals, Kristen Taylor had a goal and an assist and Megan Bosica added a goal for the Tar Heels.
Danielle Kachulis scored one of Duke's 12 goals in its win over Johns Hopkins. Sam Schrum had a goal for the Blue Jays.
