Friday Recap

Men
  • In the first ACC seminfinal, Brian Carroll scored the eventual game-winning goal with 5:13 left as Virginia beat Maryland, 11-10. Brian Farrell had a goal and Bryn Holmes added an assist for the Terps.
  • In the other ACC semifinal, Michael Burns led all scorers with five goals for North Carolina, but it wasn't enough as Duke moved on to the championship by the score of 13-9. Max Quinzani was one of eight goal scorers for the Blue Devils, while Sean Burke had an assist for the Tar Heels.

    Women
  • Halley Quillinan scored once in Syracuse's 13-7 victory over Rutgers. Brooke Cantwell had a goal for the Scarlet Knights.
  • Danielle Spencer scored one of Northwestern's 21 goals in their rout of Ohio State. Katrina Dowd had an assist for the Wildcats.
  • Sam Schrum had two goals and an assist in Hopkins' 17-10 win over Penn State.
  • Nicole Flego and Emily Schaknowski each scored for Delaware in their 15-4 win over Villanova. Flego also had a team-high two assists.
  • Kaitlin Duff and Brittany Kalkstein each scored goals during Virginia's game-changing 6-0 run to propel the Cavaliers to the ACC Championship game by the score of 10-7.
  • Kristen Taylor had three goals and an assist as North Carolina avenged last week's loss to Duke, 12-11, in the ACC semifinals.
