UA Alums Garner ACC Freshmen of the Year Accolades

Brian Phipps of Maryland and Brittany Kalkstein of Virginia were honored yesterday as the ACC's Rookies of the Year in their respective sports. Phipps has made 136 saves in 13 games and ranks 13th in the country with a 59.1 save percentage. Kalkstein leads all freshmen in the country in draw controls and is ranked in top 20 in the nation. She is the only rookie ranked in the top 10 in the ACC in scoring and draw controls.
