NCAA First Round Update
Men
Grant Catalino had two goals and two assists and Ryan Young added a goal and an assist as Maryland advance to the second round with a 10-7 win over Denver. Brian Farrell and Bryn Holmes each had assists and Brian Phipps made six saves to earn the win for the Terps. Charley Dickenson scored a goal and dished out two assists, while his brother John tallied a goal.
Zach Brenneman was one of eight goal scorers for Notre Dame in their overtime win over Colgate.
Max Quinzani scored back-to-back goals less than a minute apart in the second quarter of Duke's 12-7 victory over Loyola. Matt Langan contributed an assist for the Greyhounds.
Shamel Bratton's goal in the third quarter helped Virginia overcome a three-goal deficit and tie the game at seven in a contest they would eventually win 10-9 over UMBC.

Katrina Dowd's first of two goals ignited a second half 4-0 run by Northwestern to blow open a 5-5 tie at halftime and propel the Wildcats to a 15-7 victory. Brooke Matthews added a goal for NU.

Halley Quillinan tallied four goals as Syracuse routed Towson, 21-9.
